In the quiet Himalayan village of Ratura, Uttarakhand, stands my little son. his innocent smile glowing brighter than the mountain sun. He is framed against the backdrop of his grandfather’s old mud house, a timeless piece of architecture where every crack in the wall and every tile on the slate roof holds stories of generations gone by.
The weathered wooden doors, the faded green windows, and the slate-covered roof are not just parts of a house – they are pieces of heritage, built with hands that knew the art of living with nature. The walls have seen countless winters, monsoons, and harvests, yet they stand proud, holding the memories of laughter, festivals, and childhoods long past.
